its a book that was written down by humans, so even if everything in that book happened historically (which can never be proven, and much of it has been disproven), the first thing we learn from the bible is that humans are flawed. so, i know that if i was trying to write the history of GOD, i wouldnt be able to do it perfectly because i'm flawed.

this is sugarcoating it. realistically, the bible has been re-written and re-translated many times over, and it was written by extremely biased people in the first place. look at the stories of the last supper, supposedly written by jesus' friends, they tell different accounts of the last supper, and how jesus pointed out who'd betray him. the book is just plain flawed.

however, that doesnt mean that god doesnt exist, or that the message of the bible isnt entirely valid. all religions, at their core, have some type of rule to the idea of "treat others the way you want to be treated". the stories in the bible can teach us things, and be a good moral guideline, even if the book's facts arent proveable.

anyone's beliefs are great as long as they dont encroach on someone else's.

God blessed many people as well. He led the Israelites out of slavery from Egypt, through Moses and Aaron, and into the promised land. He blessed many women with children that were in their older years, He sent His Son to us, and many other promises. We tend to focus on the negative parts because that's what humans do. And there are many punishment stories in the Bible because many people sinned and God had to punish them to show them that He is fooling away.

God gave us His rules to live by to have eternal salvation. And we can obey or not. He told us what the blessings will be and what the punishments will be. It's up to us to decide what we want.

First of all God made man in his own image so this means that God is a man, and men do not have PMS. The Lord says that he is a jelous God and not to worship no other God's before him. When Moses led God's people out of Jeruselum and Moses went up on the mountain so that God could give him the 10 commandments, God's people made a golden calf and was worshiping it, when Moses came down from the mountain even he was angry because he truly believed in God. Here is a good way of explaining this. When your children are little they walk all over your feet, but when they get older they walk all over your heart. Young children don't hate and all they want is your love and approval, but when they get older they don't want you to teach them right from wrong. Since we are all the children of God we need to be as a young child. He says study to show yourself worthy. The Lord gave us free will and it is up to us to decide if we want to go to Heaven or Hell. Sometimes God will test our faith and we will question him as to why. Everything that God does he does it for a reason. He has really tested my faith these last 2 years. My mother died then my 5 year old nephew died then my husband left 2 weeks after my nephew died and I had to place my only son in a mental hospital. Yes this was a lot, but he says that he will not put more on us than we can handle. I have enough faith to know that if I don't give up on him then he will never give up on me. You never said anything about Jesus weeping and being sad. Well he did, and everytime he looses one of his children to Satan he weeps. It makes me cry to know that he died for me, but he did it to prove how much he loves me. If you want an undieing love then turn to him. I am not God, but my heart aches for you.
