I had asked him out, he said yes and got all blushy smiley faced BUT I got busy with moving, and I started a big career change - so I didn't get back to him until months later.
Then I see him again and he's not as happy to see me as he's been in the past. I don't feel that "vibe" we had going before, and when I say, "Hey, let's set up that date" He flat out tells me he's in a relationship and no longer open to dating others.
I feel like I got slapped in the face. Why was he so cold and rude?

You put him on the back burner when you got busy with other things, and instead of sitting there patiently waiting for you to find some time, he found someone else. He also told you honestly that he is now in a committed relationship and won't date on the side. Nothing about his behaviour is cold or rude. You just need to get over yourself.

He probably felt like you rejected him first. You didn't keep in touch and basically stood him up when you guys never went out. He probably went through a number of scenarios in his head, wondering why you had just dropped of the face of the earth. Sounds like he may have been more hurt than anticipated and is trying to move on.

because you got him interested then totally blew him off and dissapeared? you slapped him in the face first, sweetheart. I also find it a little shocking how inconsiderate you are, as to not have figure this out on your own. he's better off without you, and he knows it.
