when Jesus was on earth he said Father is greater than him, but now Jesus is back in heaven, is he equally 'superior' like God the Father?

He also said, while on the earth, that "I and the Father are one." Jesus is 100% God, and 100% man rolled into one. Explaining that has tested the finite mind of man for years, and will continue to do so. But to answer your ? Yes, Jesus is equal with God, for he is God.

He is part of God, because He told us He is one with the Father.
But the Father has superior knowledge, as Jesus stated that ONLY the Father knows the day and the hour that Jesus will return for the saints (the rapture). So if Jesus doesn't even know, His Father...THE Father is more superior in knowledge and power.

When Jesus came to earth it was important to his message that he have all the same experiences and temptations that we have. So, He put off his Godhood and became human. The bible says he humbled himself to be born of woman - or to become human. If Jesus had come as fully God and never been tempted, then His work here would have less impact on his human followers. Jesus was fully man, but retained his Godly attributes while on earth, but he set them aside for our sake. He said that he does only what the Father is doing. In other words, all He did was what God was commanding him to do, while on earth - He was obedient even to death. After His resurrection, Jesus returned to the Father, "In all His glory."

1 Corinthians 11:3 says that the head of Christ is God. This was written after Jesus had been resurrected.

No. It says in 1 Corinthians 15:24-28...
Next, the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. For he must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet. As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing. For God “subjected all things under his feet.” But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that it is with the exception of the one who subjected all things to him. But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.
So there it shows that Jesus, in heaven, is subjecting himself to his God and Father...and no one is higher than his Father - including Jesus.

God is the head of the Trinity. Jesus went back to heaven to intercede for us in our prayers(execute the new covenant) and to prepare a place for us to be when He brings us back.
Although Jesus is fully man, He is also fully God. Yet, He did not do anything without praying first nor did He do anything without God's approval.
So to answer your question, God is still the Head.

I believe that he has passed the test of life and obeyed the commandments, suffered much and made the right choices and know he has the right to be like God because he has proven himself.
We also need to prove are selves and learn to be like God so we can obtain that glory someday. God loves and wants us to be like him like any father would.
It is in the book of Mormon that if we read and ask god if these things are true he will manifest the truth to us.
Then once you have that confirmation you will know of the truths of the doctrine and what your potential to become is.
I testify that there is one true church and God wants us to have his glory and sit with him.
