have you ever tried myspace or there is a chatting program you can download called paltalk which is free with people in different kinds of rooms with names like for music interest. you can also set up your own room for people can enter and talk, u can use webcams and mics and also text chat.

you are not going to get genuine friends on the net. Its just not going to happen. Don't you know about all the horror stories of meeting people from the net. Women end up meeting con artists and thieves, liars and cheaters. Men they meet some crazy psychotic women...It will never work. If you want genuineness try the old fashion way like going out in public. TO a club or join a gym or even try going to church. Bottom line there are crazy people every where. you need to be aware of your surroundings at all times. But don't use the "net" as a means to meet people. Its scary!

dont know i love it because it is totally anonymous and i am anti-social but there is always groups formed by people covering everything under the sun at some of the big sites research it there are so many people on this thing looking for friends hoping they wont attract a serial killer....ahh...think about that you are going to be forging a great friendship that you wont ever see and know on a personal level unless you take it there if you do please bring a tag along because you never know what you'll get out of that 2 dollar grab bag....good luck...angel
