OMG I thought you wanted to find cheap presents for old people who were going to die soon! hahahahaha... oh well... now that I've read the other answers I'll think about it!
How about nice frames for their diplomas? Everyone is proud of them and wants to hang them, so it's something useful, and school oriented.

No idea what kind of gift you think is appropriate, but we gifted our seniors with a clock plus photo stand in china.. not that practical, but it was nominal and good enough for them to save as a memory.

Key chains, with the year on it. Have a photographer come to Graduation to get close up shots of them getting their diploma. Picture frame with the year on it. An inspirational book. An autograph book signed by every teacher\ Staff with something inspirational wrote in it.
