lol i see 100s every year as my husband races them they are little yellow like chicks when they come out the egg but do not leave there nests till they are fully featherd apart from a bit of down on there head

That's a good question. I hardly ever see baby pigeons. I own two adults pigeons that I've had for 7 years! They're white messanger pigeons. If I knew how to train them I could get them to fly messages across the state and then come back home...but as far as babies go, my birds are both male so I don't know their breeding habits...but if I was a baby bird I sure wouldn't want any human to see me so I would stay as hidden as possible.

When pigeons leave the nest they are the same size as their parents, as most birds are. In fact, many times young birds outweigh their parents when they fledge. Pigeon nests are not in the open, but high up on ledges, under bridges etc. So, you do see young pigeons, but they look the same, so you don't realize they are juveniles.

I voted for in a handbaskets answer....i'll just add that baby pigeons are UGLY...and they are called Squabs. I raise white homing pigeons, btw.

I have seen one ,it was just sitting on the ledge, by it's nest, getting readyto fly { they are called SQUAB by the way ,} { baby pigeons }

You do, but they look the same as the adults, because the 'squeekers' are kept in the nest until they have their feathers and start to fly. They are then the same size as their parents, but more tender and delicious..
