It is a really bad idea to take one Scripture out of the Bible and try to establish entire doctrine. So first, it is true that no one comes to God unless God grants it; all others are allowed to be deceived by the Devil. However, that does NOT spell doom for them.

1 Corinthians 15:22-24 -- For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ ALL shall be made alive. But EACH ONE IN HIS OWN ORDER: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.

"ALL" shall be made alive, "ALL" shall be offered eternal life. But not all in one step.

At this time in God's plan, only a few are offered salvation; the vast majority will not have an opportunity for that salvation until after Christ returns to reign on the earth.

This is a questions that goes far beyond the scope of a simple blog answer. I suggest you read up on a man named John Calvin. Study both his teachings, the 5 points of TULIP, and how it has shaped the way people view scripture.

Keep in mind that very few people are actually 5 point Calvinists, but understanding this concept and it's flaws/good points is important to having a complete understanding of scripture.

Paul actually says - many are called few are chosen. In fact, he even goes on to say that only certain people are saved. Almost like a predestined thing.

Also, throughout the NT is the reference that God will supposedly send delusions to all those who do not believe, so that they will continue to be lost in darkness.

So yes - throughout the NT there is that underlying factor that God will only call a select few. That there are those who will not be saved, and even deluded into not accepting this salvation.

Makes you really want to be Christian, doesn't it?

Where does Jesus say that?

As far as I know, Jesus said "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father excepth through me." John 14:6

It surely means that Jesus always gives all the Glory and credit to the Father because He know who His Father is, that is who God is. He is greater and mighty and brilliant and powerful and excellant and shows justice and love and care and help and we can never imagine, so in-finite to our memory. But I know He is there for sure.. full-proof.

Our heart has to be open to accept the Word. We can read and read the Bible, but never understand it unless we are helped by the holy spirit. But what Jesus meant was in prayer. When we pray, if we want God to listen to us, we have to 'send' that prayer through Jesus Christ.

God said that He wants no one to perish. I believe that the Holy Spirit draws all men unto Himself, but I believe that this scripture refers that it is in God's timing, not ours. then once God draws us, then it is up to us to receive God's gift of love and forgiveness and eternal life that is found in Christ Jesus.
