Public Transportation is importnat because
1)Alot of people sometimes don't have cars
2) Some people are too poor to have cars but need to get to
goods and services to survive
3) Public Transportation, if well promoted,can take some
cogestion off of our highways and byways

Gas prices suck.
You have to weigh the benifits and downs of public transportation such as jobs and pollution, also factoring in disease and terrorism... this sounds like a term paper question.

Can you just imagine how many cars would be on the road if there wasn't public transit? It would be like rush hour traffic times three all the time.

its not, its all a consipiracy to control the masses using guilt as a weapon, its all about making sure there is a tight grip on limiting peoples opportunity by limiting their ability to travel freely when they want to where they want

faster, keep away from the traffic... it's cheaper.. then accessible when u have no car at all or money...
