"Sexual orientation begins with a myriad intertwining influences - some genetic, some hormonal and gestational in the mothers uterus, some the product of cultural conditioning. The mix for any individual is impossible to unpick. No one acquainted with the science can still believe that homosexuality is a choice or a disorder. It is part of normal human variation, just like traits such as height or intelligence."

BC, the scientific research says you are wrong and you provide an excellent example showing that religious people do cast aside reason and science on this issue.

"Genetic, some hormonal and gestational" variations that cause sexual orientation disturbances, are EXTREMELY rare, and very far from "normal human variation." Homosexuals twist these fragments of scientific fact into the lies they use to justify their disorder. The true facts, that homosexuality is a disorder, are suppressed by the gutless, manipulated and manipulative media, that are afraid to offend them. At least 90% of homosexuals are not affected by these rare human diseases.

Cultural conditions, on the other hand, are another matter. When society is corrupted by these lies, some are more easily swayed by them. A culture that accepts depravity and corruption as "normal human variation" is not a basis for establishing what is good and wholesome.

This incessant repetition that homosexuality is genetic and not a choice is considered by so many to be a sound basis on which to contend that it is therefore acceptable. Be it a choice or not, be it environmental or not, be it cultural or not, be it genetic or not is wholly beside the point. Whether it is an acceptable practice to God is the concern of true Christians who wish to conform their lives to God's standards.

All sixty-six books of the Bible teach that every single human is genetically sinful. We INHERITED this from our parents – Adam and Eve. Sin is genetic. That is why we need a propitiatory sacrifice. But we are not taught that because it is genetic, it is acceptable. We are everywhere taught to reject sinful behavior – to denounce it – to renounce it – to fight against it.

Is there any other genetic behavior that is unacceptable? Well, the child of a mother who abuses alcohol or crack will in all probability be born with an addiction, yes? Do the doctors and nurses see to it that the baby continues to get alcohol or crack cocaine? Do they say, "Well, this is the baby's genetic inclination. Best to go ahead and accept it"?

Some people have a genetic inclination for high blood pressure. Do we encourage them to help themselves to foods high in saturated fats and sodium, saying, "well, that's the genetic bent"? No, we do not do that.

In the final analysis, whatever the behavior, the question is not whether it is genetic for, indeed, all sin is genetic. The question is how God feels about it.

perhaps no longer the finest question to respond to in a generalized way as there would nicely be numerous causes in contact. the most glaring answer is they're homophobic and use their religious scriptures as a veil for his or her concern of gay concepts. The hardline religious human beings affiliate homosexuality with the devil and evaluate it their responsibility to be to suppress the impression of the devil [as they envisage him] upon society. This view to a non-religious man or woman would nicely be defined as deluded.. notwithstanding it look that they actual have self assurance in it. those who reveal the simplest understanding to recruit interior organised religions have a tendency to climb the heirarchal ladder of the corporate faster. [Im no longer only talking clergymen, bishops and so on. Im talking social appreciate]. Attacking homosexuality would impression outsiders with homophobic tendancies to change into recruited. As time is going by homophobia will advance interior the agency because of this syphoned recruiting procedure. the same case would nicely be made on different delicate themes jointly with abortion and birth control. it style of feels that on a political aspect, the Vatican has traditionally supported the nuclear relations as a technique of insuring the way ahead for the church. evidently that homosexuality, abortion and birth control detract from the perception of the classic professional-effective nuclear relations. The church have gradually more suitable feared change because the early twentieth century as allowing human beings social freedoms enables them to disobey the moral code it extremely is the bedrock of the church going religious communities global. for my area, the church would might want to revise its technique on birth control interior the subsequent 10 years. regrettably, in Africa that would nicely be too little too overdue: they extremely would have finished a lot more suitable. so a ways as homosexuality and abortion, I dont see them replacing course anytime quickly, its only no longer of their activity.

I believe scientists will come up with an excuse/theory for everything. "you drink and drive because you have liquoritis" Then they'll write a book and sound important. Now it is up to the people on which books they choose to believe in. Free will is wonderful.

We will have an infinite arguement that scientists are right/God is right. What you believe is up to you. Even if I agreed with the theory that you're born gay, you have the free will to choose not to be.

Hope this helps. Peace & Blessings.

Assuming you are able to pinpoint the reason why homosexuality exists, does that make this type of behavior correct? God, and His word, describe this behavior as sin. Men are born with and/or develop any number of behavior patterns. Some have a tendency to lie, or cheat, or steal, or oppress women, or murder. If we could know the reason why men do such things, would it make the behavior right? You endorse homosexuality simply because you think it is one's natural orientation. But if God calls it sin, who are we to say it is correct? Please read Romans 1.

I don't have the perfect answer for you. But re-read what you posted "..some the product of cultural conditioning". So perhaps it is a choice for some.

Homosexuallity is a sin AND a choice. It seems to people that is who they are, but this is wrong thinking, to a point. It is a spiritual thing. As a person, God made man to be a triune being. He gave us a soul, body, and spirit. Change the spirit, then one will change our desires. We can do this by turning from our sins and accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. When we do this, God takes away our spirit and replaces it with His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, God Himself. Our life will be satisfied and full of joy, hope, and peace. I know, from a man who God changed from the inside, out! May this shed light and truth upon this subject so that those who are in the bondage of sin can be set free to be who they truly are.

I absolutely think they do. They reject the truth to protect their faith, which despite their protestations is actually weak. It can not stand up to the light of solid science and research, so they put their fingers in their ears.
