Just recovering from a cold but my ears are still popping or refusing to pop when I yawn, why do they do this?

Since most of the other systems are gone should, other than the feeling of pressure in my ear should I be worried?

our ears are connected to our nose through a tube called Eustachian tube. when your nose and throat are infected during a cold, the infection travels to this tube also. the free air exchange between ear and nasal cavity doesn't occur. this makes you feel the popping of ear. this will get corrected by the medicine you take for cold. or try this ----blow you mouth with air, now with you nose pinched with a thumb and finger try to fill your ears with air. (sound difficult but works great)
