hiya me and my boyfriend is going down to leicester for a weekend break as he will be driving a ferrari and an aston martin down there so we will be there for the weekend fri - sun
can any1 tell us a little about the nightlife ? the city? the restaurents etc. so we know where to go we are right in the city centre of leicester

we will be going for a meal and a couple of drinks on the friday then going out properly on the saturday before we come home on the sunday ?

Depends what kind of evening you want really! The best place to head for is Granby street. There are a lot of different restaurants down there. Mainly chain restaurants but it depends what you like. There is also a selection of pubs and Jongluers the comedy club is a good night. There are also a lot of bars off Granby Street and up the side streets. Again, it depends what music you like etc. R- Bar used to be a favourite of mine. It gets a bit crowded but does some great flavoured vodka shots if that's your thing! If you fancy a more upmarket meal, The Case is a champagne bar and restaurant. The clubs in Leicester aren't very decent though. you're best staying in the late bars. You might also want to check out this website for some bar reviews. http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/content/articles/2005/09/21/bars_guide_leicester_feature.shtml Dos Hermanos on Queens road off Victoria park is a bit out of the City centre (5 minute taxi ride) but is very popular and does great food and has a fantastic atmosphere. There are also many different Indian restaurants down London Road. Its all reasonably priced.

Cant think of anywhere good in Leicester sorry. Come to Birmingham instead, we are only about 30 miles more down the motorway x
