Play for anybody and everybody, as often as you can. If you can find a coffeehouse around you that has "open mike night," you can go there and perform and get your stage thing together. The important thing is to appear natural, friendly, and alive onstage. You don't have to learn jokes or anything like that, but being yourself counts for a lot. Don't look mopey on stage. You don't have to be a cheerleader, but look like you enjoy what you're doing. And when you get applause, say "thank you." Being good onstage really comes from playing in front of people, a lot. It takes time and experience more than anything else.

Any American who can speak with a cockney accent has to be taken seriously. Dick Van Dyke's your man, what would Mary Poppins be without him?

Amidst all that "Step in time" malarky, He was as cockneyfied as Ben Kinsley was in "Ghandi" and you have to admire him for that.

I think you could learn a lot from him, especially the way he jumped from chimney pot to chimney pot and managed to feed the birds at the same time. How he never got an Oscar, i don't know.

i take drama at school and i'm a nervous wreck, i'm rubbish cos i'm nervous, but when i'm alone or with friends i'm a right drama queen... maybe you should have friends in the crowd.... i dont think is quite what you're asking, if you're confident ignore this, but what i'm trying to say is when you have confidence you become so much better and i get confidence from friends... gradually you can part with them lol
