None - Last week friday a childhood friend was at work. A colleague had a fight with her boyfriend. The boyfriend walked in with a gun to shoot her. My friend jumped in front of her to push her away and got shot through the heart. Strangely though, his life was complete, even at the age of 34. I doubt she'll ever be ungrateful for one day's breath again, as my friend died in her arms... I doubt I will be either..

Yes indeed, that is what the Good LORD JESUS did say.....so I will not refute that.
But with a creative thought in mind that has just kind of sprung up.......Trying to even imagine just HOW boundless HIS love is for all of us!~ It has always amazed me that the MOST powerful One in all the universe; is One who has COMPASSION and love that is beyond our comprehension! All the while HE holds the power to wipe us clean from HIS existence; yet HE proves HIS very fruit of HIS Holy Spirit BY His FORBEARANCE AND LONG-SUFFERING IN HIS HEART FOR ALL US WAYWARD & DISOBEDIENT CHILDREN!
MOST OF HUMANITY HAS COMMON SENSE, BUT THEN AGAIN, MOST OF HUMANKIND DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THAT "COMMON SENSE" IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ITEM COMPARED TO THAT AWESOME THING KNOWN AS
THE "GIFT OF DISCERNMENT"====>>>> and so it is with that discernment that I do say that Jesus, Son Of GOD; Redeemer of mankind............DID VERILY LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR ALL OF US; FOR ALL WHO WOULD COME TO HIM with faith and with the knowledge of our LORD and HIS GOSPEL that leads to our salvation!!!!

no one ''lies'' down thier life as such
its speaking good [not ill] of the dead ,that forms the lie ing down of life for others ,
its properganda ,insanity many dead ''in battle'' just got fed up with war ,with dying thus died because they had had enough ,or got carless
thou shalt not kill
means not to kill [even] thyself
what ''friend '' would want [accept] a friend to die ''for them''
there are many greater loves to live than to die ,
a real friend would want both to live

Any one dies in a particular situation. No body dies for a friend. There is no patriot who dies for the country! You happen to be in a particular situation, where death can not be avoided.
So please get yourself matured about life.

Amen to what Jack said. This is what Christ did for me. When I didn't worship him, he forgave me and now I worship him because he loved me enough to die for me.
