I am a bit confuse; if by chance in life we achieved or failed in what we plan then why do we say it is fate/luck . Today I met with an accident so it is my fate/luck .....
Is fate and luck co related or they have their own meaning........

Probably. According to definition fate is predetermined events. Luck is a matter of chance. But as a Catholic, I don't believe in faith.

Luck is a sudden windfall gain , which happens to our day to day life . We tend to forget them as this seems so trivial and temporary . This can be your good luck or bad luck . It may be as trivial is like catching or missing your daily commuting bus , train etc., to as big as winning or losing a lottery.
Fate on the other hand means the long range effect of your living a lifestyle which affects your destiny. You may be an extremely rich person , but your fate may make you a pauper. The other is also true , that through grit and determination fate raises a person to fame. Fate decides ultimately where you stand when you introspect.

Fate is something which the Almighty God has destined for us. This doesn’t mean that God has decided everything. It is God's Will that he has given Man free-will always to choose right or wrong in our daily life. God doesn’t have time, (ie) no past, present or future. Luck is a word used by people who don’t believe in God. It is just a word used when we don’t know the reason for anything that happened. This doesn’t mean that we simply sit and put the blame for everything that happens on Fate or Luck. Even when we use the word "luck", we indirectly admit that there is an external aspect which has controlled the LUCK. Finally belief in God will give us Peace of Mind to face any thing that happens in life. Even in times of worst tragedy, we can easily come out of it if our faith in God is strong.

Whatever they mean they the reasoning words of lazy people who sipmly escape a situation.
Winners are not the ones who do different things they are the ones who do the same thing differently.

So instead of blaming or relying on the fate and luck just try to be a winner.

Best regards.

Fate is when negative things happen and luck is when positive things happen. Just a way to describe and differentiate between the two.

Both fate and Luck are different:

In normal course fate is taken as negative and luck is termed in positive sence.

According to Hindu way of thinking fate is nothing but Karma. This is nothing but cause and affect. All our actions will result in good or bad responses. This goes with the principle that every action will have equal ,and opposite reaction. All our cumulative bad deeds will become Karma or fate. They are classified into 3. Prarabdha, Sanchita and Agami. Various practises are prescribed to over come them.

Then Luck is termed as Adristha in Sanskrit. For all our normal actions we expect results. When these results are on anticipated level we call it as Drishta means seen or anticipated. If the result is more than anticipated level we call it as Adrishta or beyond imagination or visualisation. When I buy a lottery ticket or bet on a race horse, though I expect to win but not certain. If I win the first prise it is beyond visualisation or expectation.

In case of of fate it is directly concerned to oneself. for all His actions he himself has to reap results.

Whereas in case of luck the failure on the part of others or society will appear as our success or achievement.

Fate is used to suggest that you have no ultimate control over your destiny, that certain things are predestined, i.e. they were meant to happen. Luck suggests that whether or not you have good fortune is a matter of contingency and is not determined in advance by any external force.

They are synonyms actually.

Destiny, Luck or Fate all are same.

Destiny decides the results of our action and not our actions themselves.

I think people who believe in fate think that what's going to happen, will happen, regardless of your actions. People who believe in luck, think something occurs just be chance.
