I'm 15 and going to rocky point with friends over the weekend of Easter.. They are seniors and 17 /18 I don't want to ruin their trip by having someone have to stay in with me... Will I be able to get into the bars and clubs without ID? Will I be able to drink? I just don't want to end up in some Mexican prison never to be seen or heard from again...lol. and please don't throw a fit because my parents are letting me go at 15... or because I drink at 15.. I just want to know the truth.

Legal drinking age in Mexico is 14 so you are all set.

LOL reading the other answers was fun!!! Nobody here knows what they're talkign about,m they probably have never beento Mexico.

Ok sweetie I'm gonna give you a REAL trustable answer as I live in Mexico and I actually know how it works.

They usually try to figure what you age is, if you look younger than 18 which is the legal drinking age here they would ask for an ID and if you don't have it then they won't let you in.

Luckily for you,as we mexicans and you americans are from diferent races, and you americans (and also some europeans) usually look older than we do, then u probably look like 18 already and with some luck you are gonna go clubbing woth no prob. (If that wasn't clear I'll explain: I mean a mexican guy who is 20 may look as young as a 16 year old American.)

Now here's a piece of advice, be carefull , clubbing here can be dangerous if you drink too much, please!!!! don't get too drunk!!!

Be carefull with what you drink, I've heard some terrible stories about people who put drugs in your drinks and then you get abused or stuff like that.
I gotta say I had some bad experiences when I was a teenager, A friend of mine got so drunk one day that two guys she just met at the bar tried to take her with them to a hotel room, thank God I was there (sober) to stop it. And the story doesn't end there... Oh God I have sooooooo many stories.....

Anyway if I can help you or if you need to know anything else just email me!! I'll be glad to help.

If you have money in Mexico thats your ID.
Don't get me wrong I am not encouraging you but if you want to know the facts there they are. As far as how much money to bring, it is pretty reasonable to do just about anything in Mexico.

My advise is to be a responsable adult.
