Mayweather by decision unless Floyd gets careless and walks into a left hook.

de la hoya is a really great guy, intelligent, articulate, honest, polite, and very good-looking. (as a hetero male, I can tell you that chicks dig oscar.) I'll be rooting for him. but...

Mayweather will win. oscar can't knock mayweather out, and he is unlikely to win a decision if the judges are honest. but funny things happen in boxing, (hagler-leonard was clearly hagler's fight) and if it goes the distance, de la hoya has a good shot at winning the decision---

but not the fight. mayweather will win the fight de la hoya may win on a close decision---then there's the chance of a rematch...this is not a stable fight to put money down on. this fight is an intelligent gambler's nightmare---mayweather could well win the fight and lose the decision. gambling is NOT recommended on this one---all the best, Brian

I would like to expand on my answer earlier about Floyd being afraid of Oscar.

Floyd is thumping his chest and trying to irritate Oscar. I believe Floyd realizes that this will be the first time he has to fight some PREMIER competition. Even a slightly older Oscar is dangerous, solely because he has fought, and beaten, better calibur fighters than Floyd has chosen to duck.

The question truly is, is Floyd going to allow his fear to intimidate him? Will he be the type of fighter that raises his game to become the great man he says he is? Or will he fall down his mountain of bums that he stands on?

That being said, I dont think Oscar can capitalize on Floyd's fear. Two primary reasons. One, Freddie Roach is a sub par trainer. Its never healthy to bring a new trainer in without using a tune up fight to get used to your dialogue. Its been under the tutalige of Floyd Senior that Oscar's career got a second breath of life.

But the true tale of this fight, will be Oscar's achilles heel. He has a problem with fast fighters. Always has. The closest comparison you can use as an example is Shane Mosely. Now grant you, Shane hits MUCH HARDER than Floyd can. But Shane cant box....at ALL. His defense is wrapped IN his offense. Vernon Forrest negated his speed with a jab to his chest. If Oscar couldnt come up with something as simple as that to negate Shanes one dimensional "Two guns firing" speed......

Floyd's ring knowledge, body movement, and punching off angles, with the same speed...will give Oscar fits.

IF MAYWEATHER HAND HOLDS UP HE WILL BE OK, BUT YOU KNOW BOXING AND THE REMATCH FACTOR. I WOULDN'T BE ON THIS FIGHT BUT MAYWEATHER SHOULD WIN. DELA IS GETTING PAID WAY MORE SO YOU CAN SAY HE IS WINNING EITHER WAY. PRETTY BOY IS TO MUCH FOR THE OLD GOLDEN BOY
