Two suggestions:
(1) Place him in a sunny window
(2) At the same time play some of his favorite music.

If he's not sick, he'll sing.

By reading many bird books, and owning five birds myself, a sudden stop of singing could mean illness or sadness. I would suggest you take him to an Avian vet and have him checked out just to make sure he's all right.

Is he moulting ? Canaries dont sing when they are going thru the moult. He will start to sing again when it is finished.

He might be sick. I had a parakeet that stopped singing, and I didn't realize he was sick until it was too late. Good luck.
