Don't suppose they ever even thought about it.
When they were little children (or whenever), their parents (or whoever) went on about the bible like it was something special.... and claimed that everything contained therein was the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth....
Hence those sorta people would rather compare evidence to the bible to see if it is valid than the other way around. Everything contained therein they take as axiomatic.

Everything that a Christian need to know about Christianity and salvation is in the Bible. All we need to do is to seek and read.
Isa 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.
Propeth Isaiah says, "none shall want her mate", meaning no other reference is needed to prove that the book of the Lord or the Bible is true.
Since the Bible is the basis of Christianity, then all claims or doctrines about Christianity should be based and written in the Bible, weather extraordinary or not. We should not make a claim outside which was written as Apostle Paul said.
1Co 4:6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

Dear Friend,
All Christians believe the Bible to be the infallible word of God, as stated at 2 Timothy 3:16
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
All scripture is inspired of God, the words were given to the prophets as they were bourne along by the Holy Spirit.
also we know that the bible speaks of Titus 1:2 a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,
God does not lie, therefore the Bible is factual and it does not makes claims but statement of fact.
God Bless

Yes the Bible and belief in God require faith. On the other hand science has never proven anything in the Bible wrong. Archaeologists even use it as a guide in their search for ancient cities.

Sometimes, its easy to judge the Bible for some situations are so unbelievable, many stories are utterly amazing.
as for me, ive experienced doubting it,(lack of evidence) but never did i let it get the best of me.
we only need: Virtus. [Virtue] Fides. [Faith]

Yes, that's where faith comes in to play. With faith, everything in the Bible is true, even though it's false.
