It's like anything else,it's all in how you use it. We have and have had the ability to kill a couple of billion people in less than an hour for decades. I notice we haven't used it,we have only used the bombs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki(180,000 dead approximately)which probably saved many more lives than it took. I'm sure we will eventually screw up and blow up the whole works but maybe not,and the bad simply comes with the good when it comes to science. We created the bomb,but we could also use it to produce tons of electricity without spewing coal smoke into the air if we wanted to.

No. Science is neutral. Just because you can launch a nuclear warhead doesn't mean you should.

No. If it weren't for science most of us wouldn't live past 35. When it comes to nuclear weapons, we can live past 35 and enjoy our radiation poisoning too. C'mon, you gotta take the good with the bad!

No of course not people are living longer happier lives now than they have ever lived because of science with thousands of more conveniences.
