I have deposits of weight on my lower back, the back of my hips if that makes sense. It seems to be the only palce where my weight goes, and I need to lose this. But because of where it is, it is hard to work that direct part so what exercises would help burn off this fat?

i myself have never heard of "muffin tops", but rather than laugh at you, (which isnt funny at all) ill advise you to check www.bodybuilding.com and search for your target area and find the right excercises that workout your specific area....this site worked wonders for me, and im sure it will for you....good luck (cut and paste that url...and look for the excercises that target your lower back...and follow the instructions carefully so that you do not hurt yourself when attempting to do them)

Not heard them called that lo however good tip is low fat diet as this helps loose not only fat but inches.
The best exercises tool I have ever brought is my stepper not only do you step up and down it also goes side to side so you are exercises not only your calf, legs, hips, back stomach all over. It has not only taken 7 inches off me in three weeks but also toned those hips and bum especially at back of hips where yours is.
So go to Argos or any good sport shop and buy a step twister it is small so easy storage and you can pop on for five ten mins when you want. I put on my fave music and before I know it I have done five mins. It is like walking in the house without going out, spending all that money at the gym and works not only burning Cal's but tones at same time.
Always do a warm up routine before and cool down after but comes with stretching exercise routine.
I hope that has helped.

Do backwards sit ups. Lie on the floor face down and tense your lower back muscles so you kind of rock backwards slightly -it works!!!

Just do what everyone else with this problem seems to do and get get a rubbish tattoo on your lower back and then wear hipsters a size too small with your thong showing.

i dont want to look it up right now but message me and i'll look it up later or go to sparkpeople.com and look at the exercises they have there in the "fitness" section. It will demonstrate all kinds of strength training and cardio techniques to use - good luck and take care!
