As I become educated on all of the animal suffering in this world I just don't understand why God would condone this. And why he created them. The videos of animal suffering I have seen makes me so sick to my stomach and makes me feel very helpless. Billions upon billions of animals suffer daily because of humans, and a lot of people I meet use God as an excuse to use animals. When I went to church as a kid I was told that God loves all creatures, then why is this happening to them? Humans suffer too I know that but animals are suffering FAR worse.I am trying to read the bible I am reading the Old Testament right now and I am noticing that God is mean, mean to humans and animals. Right now I am not feeling like I want to be invovled with God anymore. Does the bible get any nicer?I feel that if you are truly a good person then you would have no participation with animal cruelty. Meat is murder, a lot of products in stores is tested on animals who are tortured daily.Does God even care?

The bible was written by Man and not God so ,the concept of belief belongs to the thoughts of Humans. They obviously ate meat so did Jesus, he ate Fish and fowl.Vegetarians, have asked this question for so long, but the meat eaters will not answer it unless it is to give an opposing view ,so our pain for the animals continues .These days so much greed is attached to the meat market ,the companies producing the meat food chain performs many crimes against the Animal Kingdom. The list is endless,it is growing daily. Now we have to contend with ,the killing of Dolphins, it just goes on and on.Can someone try and save these beautiful animals.Meat eaters do love animals but they still eat meat ,Why ? This to me is a mystery.Companies who kill animals for their coats , are even worse. These days they can produce fake replacements, so why is it necessary to wear the real thing.? I feel for your comments very deeply and hope that you find some answers for your own sanity.Humans do not need need to eat meat to survive and for the want of ever repeating myself, you can survive without eating meat, it is a known fact, so there is no excuse to carry on consuming it.Meat eaters eat meat because they like it.I cannot forgive cruelty to animals, the taking of a life on any level is selfish when you can live well enough without doing so.
List of acts of cruelty.
1.The bears of China who are used for their bile production.
2.The monkey trade, their brains are classed as a delicacy.
3.Baby seals, killed for their coats.
4.Cats /Dogs killed whilst still alive for their fur.
5.Foxs,killed during the hunting season for sport.
6.Dolphins,killed in Japan, and sold for $500.

Well, the physical part is easy. Can you imagine someone going up in flames because they rested their hand on a red-hot heating element coil on the stove?? Emotional pain is also for protection though harder to define. But if you did not have it, it would be so much harder to learn certain lessons.
You must understand that God DOES NOT CONDONE any of these bad things. Every single thing that has ever been done with malice, hate, envy, etc will get repaid someday. Why not now? I don't know...many things are too complex about God to understand. But you must also realize that He oftentimes uses evil things to make something Good happen. And boy does this make Satan mad!!!! Yes, the Bible gets nicer. But you must understand that the Jews keep forsaking and forsaking and forsaking God over and over again! Follow me...okay. Then they forget for a while, get into trouble and come crying back to God. And He lovingly accepts them back again. Sorry, I would have broken off the relationship long ago were it me and likely you would have too. Is THAT mean?? God loves us. You need to realize that there still is more Good than bad in this world. Also, more bad things will happen the closer it gets to Jesus coming back. Not a great consolation I know, but I do hope for Jesus' return and it has to get bad for that to happen. God's "patience" will finally run out and it is very soon most think...though nobody but God knows when.

God made animals. Genesis 1:20-25 describes creatures of the water, air, and land.

God saved animals. Genesis 6:20 says they were "to be kept alive" in the ark during the flood.

God cares about animals. Jonah 4:11 shows this care. "But Ninevah has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about that great city?" (NIV)

Man should care. Proverbs 27:23 "Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds …" (NIV)

God wants animals unharmed. Isaiah 65:25 declares "The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox … They will neither harm nor destroy in all my holy mountain, says the Lord." (NIV)

Yet, only man is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26) with the power of free choice (Joshua 24:15). Thus Biblically, man is the only part of creation to which salvation can be offered to be accepted or rejected.

If you read the two scriptures below, you see that God does care for animals. Presently, until God's kingdom is installed, this world is under Satan's rule. This is fairly obvious when we look at world conditions. Right!

Once the kingdom establishes a Paradisaic earth there will be a lot less suffering for humans as well as animals.

To what degree it will affect our diet in regard to animals is not known. Animals will not be accorded eternal life! They will still have to live in their respective ecosystems that have a cycle - a turnover - as you see perhaps in Africa.

Proverbs 12:10 10 The righteous one is caring for the soul of his domestic animal, but the mercies of the wicked ones are cruel.

Romans 8:22 . . .For we know that all creation keeps on groaning together and being in pain together until now.

As a Pagan, the whole "God gave man dominion over animals" spiel makes me sick. I have no problem with eating animals, but I only eat as much as I need and am truly grateful that I have that much, I don't feel that animals are my "property". Nor would I go around cutting down rainforests or strip-mining the earth. I don't condone the way that animals are being farmed these days, I believe that these animals should at least have a fighting chance at life, rather than being kept in a state of sensory deprivation locked up in a cage under fluorescent lights their entire lives.

in the beginning, God created the flora and animals bofore He created a human to be the human's friend and food... (you can read in the Genesis). He created many styles of animal because God want for that animal to have their own function..

just because the human who can't make the animal feel better to be their friend so the animal are feel the physical and emotional pain...

First of all, I don't think you have to believe in the bible in order to believe in god. The stuff in there might not all be 100% correct. And second of all, try not to feel too bad, just be a vegetarian and don't buy any leather products. What more can you do? Be happy.

because despite the violence to animals at the hands of some people
they give enormous amounts of love and can teach us a lot
dont blame God for the actions of man
and dont base your beliefs in God around a book
