Okay...so my HUGEST crush asked me out and I said yes. We have been BEST friends since the beginning of 6th grade. (If you see some of my other questions about my "crush" you'll probably know who I am talking about.) Well, anyway, we don't really hold hands. I mean, we are a lot closer. Like we walk extremeley close and stuff in the hallways and all, but he doesn't hold my hand. Everybody used to play around with us saying we were going out when we were just really good friends. Is he embarrassed to hold my hand or is he just too embarrassed to grab my hand in case I don't want him to? Or should I be the one who grabs his hand? I know this is an EXTREMELEY stupid question, but it has been bothering me! Please help!

We're not really going on a "date". His dad is real strict and won't let him have a girlfriend until he is 16. He asked me out because this other guy in our math class wanted him to ask him out for him but he liked me and he was going to wait until we were 16 so it would be okay. We're 13.

maybe he is nervous and doesnt want too do the wrong thing and loose you.
i know this from my younger days. i remeber my absolute best freind and i started dating and i was so excited that she finally gave me a chance to be more than just a freind, but when i did get her i felt like a clown in a circus.
i would have tripped over my own feet walking through the halls with her. i would have head butted her trying to give her a kiss. etc, etc.
she loved me anyways and when i wouldnt hold her hand..... she grabbed mine. when i wouldnt give her a hug she would hug me. she made all the first moves untill i no longer felt nervouse. the most important first move i did make...... i was the first one to kiss her. oh remeber that so well... my toes culed and my hands sweat while butterfly's filled my stomach.
all those years ago i felt liek a goof and in many ways im still a big goof..... but ya know... i made that lucky lady my wife and i couldnt be happier.
my advice to you hun is dont be afraid to break the ice first. he will come around. he jsut needs ab it of a push and a kick in the rump.

I remember when I was 13 and I can guarantee he wants to hold your hand. He's probably never held a girls hand in front of other kids so he's super nervous of what his friends will think. I'm sure he's also not sure how you would react.
My advice would be to not overthink the situation because he has a lot of things going through his mind (What will my buddies think, What will she think, If I hold her hand will she want me to kiss her or is handholding enough, etc.), and if you really want to hold his hand, just grab it. If he pulls away maybe he's not ready for everyone to know that you guys are into each other. Just give the dude some time.
The poster above me hit the nail on the head when it comes to how guys feel when they first start dealing with the opposite sex. We have two left feet but we're not allowed to let anyone know because we would never live it down. We become so nervous that we're going to do something stupid that we just freeze and don't do anything. I truly believe this guy likes you so much that he's afraid to do anything that you might not like. He doesn't want to offend you because if he does he may lose you to the guy in your math class. Just give the guy some time or you take the first step but remeber, you're only 13.
If you do hold his hand, please promise me and the entire world, that's all you'll do because there are way too many kids having babies. I know you're only 13 and you're probably not even thinking about that but sometimes one thing leads to another and people get in over their heads.
I had a friend that had a baby when she was 14. Before she became interested in an 18 year old neighborhood boy, she was really pretty and fun to hang out with, but after she got pregnant she never came outside anymore and when I did see her she looked really tired and worn out. I was very sad because one of my friends couldn't be my friend anymore, and if that happened to you, your friends would feel the same way.
Have fun holding hands.

I'd unload him asap. If he likes a different lady and he or she him, WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? Real love does not play video games or have wandering eyes, it is dedicated and difficult paintings. You MUST see this as a purple flag, a deal breaker, strike 3. Your younger, i am guessing, you should not also be because a SERIOUS courting that's going to intent you lack of confidence. Have amusing, do not turn out to be overly invested on this, WHAT? you can not flirt? Move on, the writing is at the wall and it spells main issue. Do your self a desire and reduce the fellow unfastened, whether it is destined to be, it's going to run it is path and he's going to be again. But why you might take him again most effective you'll be able to reply.

It's not too stupid,, he just probably is dreading all the questions and weird looks your gonna get if everybody knows what's up. If I were you,I'd keep it on the low for now, let people figure it out, if they can,, best bet for a lasting relationship,, I say this because at 41 I've delved human nature a bit. If people just suddenly know, then they will interfere,, just keep it on the low, for now.

Its not a stupid question. Maybe his hands are sweaty :D It shouldn't matter what other kids say, but it feels like it does i'm sure.
If you are that close you should have no problem asking him as HE is the one who can best answer your question

well , i think u can try a cheap trick.
its not even a trick anyway hahha
u just tease him, ask him y dont u hold my hand, are u shy?
maybe add some cheap giggle.
and he will say something. maybe yes, i am shy or other reason.
the best thing is still to ask him directly to reveal his feelin

Stop blames. This does not have to be just holding hands to keep his relationship a secret from some nosy person, and he isn't shy neither,so stick with it. STOP WORRYING!

I think that you should grab his hand and see his reaction. if the brother can't dig a honey thats forward then he isnt a brother you should be stressing about.

If he asked you out, then grab his hand on your date.
But wait for him to grab yours when the date is over.
