Because the gf may not always be there but the friends will.
With friends they can share everything and they do have alot in common

Bros like to chill. Im in a fraternity called Kappa Alpha and we are really chill dudes. We party and do everything together and still jock all the hos. We have some losers of course but thats impossible to get away from as pretty much anyone who isnt white trash or poor can be in a fraternity. So basically Dudes rock and so do chicks, I just really love people in general and can be with both. Holla atcha boi you know what's good its sammy baby peace

Girls do it too. Guys choose their friends because even though girlfriends want to be there. Friends have history and girlfriends barely do.
Its not right to ask your significant other to choose or make them choose. You have to think that if your boyfriend made you choose, who would you choose? You love people for different reasons and are able to mingle with people for different reasons. Dynamics are different.

cause their friends will be with them forever (almost) but if he has a fight with his girlfriend it may just be over and well he would hav lost 2 ppl who mean a lot to him.....
