I like this woman that works in a Doctors office as an patient account representative. I worked in Iraq and need to get some surgery. She seems very nice and friendly. How do I know if she is just doing her job or just being friendly. I do not even know if she is single. Any advise?

ok. So u like her. Talk to her, establish a friendship. If she is will ing to accept you as a friend, then as a friend you can ask her questions ... about her family, etc. This would let you know if she single or not. If she is, then just drop a hint "would you like to grab some coffee ... or lunch ...? " u know the rest. Either she accepts or she'll politely decline, and you will have the answer to your question. Wouldn't you??

My first guess is that she is just being friendly and doing her job. However i think the best way to be sure of that is to very subtly ask her out for coffee, maybe if you're new to your town, ask her to show you around, or something like that. This would be a way to find out if she's interested in seeing you outside of work, and once you're out with her, then you could see about having a date with her.
If she isn't interested in having coffee with you, that probably means she's not interested in you.

Just keep being nice to her.
More than likely, she is doing her job. Working in the medical field you have to be personable.
Although, if you keep being nice to her and just becoming her friend with no pressure, you will find out things about her and eventually, ask her out with no pressure.
