There has never been nor will there ever be world peace. It is naive to think that it is possible although it's noble to desire it.
Your optimism is refreshing. I really hate to rain on your parade but you have to be realistic about this or you will only find disapointment.
The 80's were the most peaceful time in our recorded history and that was because we were living under the threat of mutually assured destruction with our enemies due to nuclear war.
On the verge of destruction is where the human race is most at home. We are truly a strange bunch!
The best that we can do is create peace in our immediate surroundings; our home, our street, but beyond that the individual has no power.
Create peace in YOUR world. That is the closest you'll get.

Watch the Miss USA pageant; the contestants always seem to have a lot of ideas on this. World peace will only happen when the human race is extinct so there's no use wasting energy thinking about it.

Peace among humans is impossible; it goes against our very nature and is thus out of reach. People who bother themselves with peace are really only making it worse when war comes. The best answer to secure the peace is to ensure that the costs of war are intolerable, or to ensure that your strength dominates the strength of your enemy. As well, it doesn't hurt for everyone to try to be more tolerant..

Nothing I'm afraid to say the World is not about Love Harmony and all that stuff any more.
Its all about Money and Oil etc so unless you control that as an individual you have no say.
