if jesus christ came back today would the conservatives spit on him and crucify him all over? the reason i ask this is i notice just how much enjoyment you guys get out of calling someone a liberal as if it were the equivalent of a very nasty dirty four letter word. anyone that has studied blibical history knows fully well that jesus was very loving and all inclusive and very forgiving, therefore if he were classified by todays deffinition he would no doubt be 'A LIBERAL". so i just wonder would you guys treat him with so much disdain as you do all other liberal minded people. think about it because judgement day is coming soon and being a liberal may just be the faster ticket to heaven? think about it!!

Please, go to Church and start reading the Bible!

While Jesus does love us all, He does not love our sin. If we want to be forgiven, He will forgive us, but if we do NOT wish to be forgiven (it's called FREE WILL), then He will not forgive us. He was not and is not "ALL INCLUSIVE."

How nice of you to have painted ALL of us conservatives with your broad brush of non-love, non-inclusiveness, and non-forgiving distain. Who is the loving, inclusive, forgiving one? Not yourself!

Look at the LOG in your own eye before you point at the speck in others' eyes!

I feel you are being a little harsh and I know it's easy to feel disheartened by all the name calling when it would just be nice to hear a voice of reason some time.

The problem is that it has become fashionable to scorn any voice for morality rather then debate it rationally and, of course, this sets people off.

Our American citizenship requires us to engage in the political process even if we may not like it. And what is most unpleasant is all the hatred and anger that is really out there. I could be your next door neighbor and I don't think you would talk like this to me face to face because you might actually like me as a neighbor though our beliefs are worlds apart.

There are unpleasant people in both camps and most of the good people are under represented in our system. And many are silent because they want nothing to do with all the name calling and labelling.

The problem on message boards are that to many haters can dominate and once again no real discussion can take place and once again I will fail in knowing your heart on an issue even if I may disagree.

I believe that this argument is based upon flawed logic as it is directly comparing two different issues. One issue, the one that Jesus stood for was religious. The second issue is merely a political one. The liberal rhetoric moves along the lines that there are no set guidelines because who is to say that you are right?
Gay marriage, abortion, separation of church and state. All of these are liberal causes or have been as of recent and all are in direct contradiction with what the Bible has to say about basic morality...
Jesus was a "liberal" of his time, but it was bringing God's people back to the basic morals that God had tried to instill in Israel. It was a rebellion against the legalistic mindset that the Israelites had established and that is NOTHING like what the liberal agenda stands for today.

Liberals of today aren't anything like Jesus. The word "liberal" means something different today than it did 50 years ago.

Jesus was no leftist:
In the view of John Edwards and other Christians on the Left, Jesus would raise taxes, promote single-payer, i.e., socialized, medicine, be pro-choice and advocate same-sex marriage. But most of all, Jesus would be anti-war, opposed to the military and essentially be a pacifist.

Jesus is going to return at some point, however The United States as a nation (including both poticial parties) might no longer exist.

Due to the fact that the Antichrist will seek to bring the entire world in to one new world order. There will then be a final battle God's followers and the forces of evil. And when The Antichrist thinks he has defeated all of God's followers, that is when Jesus will return.

My advice "Be ever watchful, stay close to God, listen to the Two Witnesses, don't lose hope and remember in the end God wins".

I have thought about it and you need to understand that He would not quite be considered a liberal. A liberal would say that homosexuality is fine and you may keep doing it. Remember though if you read your Bible, that he often forgives someone for having sinned but then says to them, "Go and SIN NO MORE." See? So yes, He would accept and love a homosexual person just like we as parents still love and accept a child of ours who has done wrong. But Jesus, like a good parent to the child, would tell the homosexual person that what they are doing is wrong and to get to heaven they need to repent of their sins, ask for forgiveness, and sin no more. Do Christians still sin. Yep. I am one of them. But I admit when I have slipped (never easy), ask for forgiveness, and ask for help in turning-really truly turning from that sin and its temptations-and He does help. Jesus really does love us and he died on the cross to wipe away our sins. He DID NOT die to have us keep on sinning and encourage us into more sin.
