Can I change Hard Disk on DVD HD recorder? And how?

I have LG HD DVD Recorder with 80G HD. I'd like to change the HD to a bigger capacity. Is it possible? How?

I am sure you can physically change the drive, but you need also to format it correctly, create the appropriate file system, etc. I would not do it unless I had all that info before hand.
The OS needs to also know that you have a bigger drive. So overall, rather difficult.

If u have the knowledge, of course u can. But the first screw u remove will void your warranty
