Trust me on this.

Take an ice cube and place it on the hickey for about a minute. Then take a stiff toothbrush (Or any toothbrush, really) and rub in small circular motions, using the entire length of the brush on the cold hickey.

What you're doing is slowing down the blood and you're gently pushing it back through your skin (Hickies are basically blood sucked up inbetween the cells of your skin. Hickies break capillaries and are basically seeping inbetween your cells).

Breaking up these bloodcells will help them be reabsorbed.

Do this for about 20 minutes (Ice, then rub for a few minutes, ice again, rub, so on and so forth).

Then, take a hot shower. Cover as much as you can with makeup/clothes (Long hair REALLY helps) and hope for the best.

Good luck!

As a Doctor in residency I can tell two people got this one right.

A hickey is a bruise, the only difference is the context in how the bruise is received ( you naughty little monkey ). A bruise is a condition where blood vessels get broken (capillaries, arteries and veins) and blood that normally would be circulating through your system via blood vessels is currently stuck in place. Since your circulatory system is damaged at the site of a bruise the blood stays put until your system repairs itself or the blood gets absorbed by other vessels nearby.

Now you can have an effect on the duration of a bruise by massage. No amount of cold or heat is going to make this go away any faster. But if you gently, but firmly massage the area in a circular motion it will dramatically reduce the time you get dirty looks from your mom.

Foundation (Make-up) This would possibly sound fairly bizarre however my grandmother use to position a peeled potatoe (Slices) onto a bruise and she or he could like positioned it within a hankercheif and tie it round wherein ever the bruise was once and it could draw the bruise out. She mentioned it could take a hickey away too rationale a hickey is a bruise below the dermis. I did check out it and it does paintings. I simply felt form of dumb strolling round with that tied to my neck. But i simply performed it to peer if that fairly works.

Someones been having some fun!

Hickeys are actually bruises. There's not much you can do to make them disappear quicker. Concealer or foundation should help cover it up.

Just say you were vacuuming the house when the
connection came loose and the end of the vacuum
sucked on to your neck like a horny Vampire and
then you had to fight it off but it kept sucking until
the power went off and you were able to get away.

Pretty hard to get rid of them. Just cover it.
Turtleneck, coverup, a scarf (not a winter wool one but a fancy silky one) or you can always tell everyone its a
curling iron burn **everyone will believe that one** wink wink.

I'd tell that bf of your to use his hoovering skills on the livingroom carpet not your neck!!! Just kidding.

Good Luck!!!

Either wear a turtle neck, or bring the peron back who gave it to you, have him continue to suck from the hicky all the way up to your jaw bone under your eye, and just say to got into a fight =P
