I think an appropriate answer to this question would be "I don't know. It all depends." because "yes-or-no-answers" are biased and prejudiced because you are supposing a situation which is previously judged. At the same time, Judas existed in a time and place with completely different cultures and different thinking. An appropriate question then would be: Were Judas' will and mind free when he betrayed his master? Was he psychologically normal? If his will and mind had been free, he would have been psychologically normal and wouldn't have felt guilty or regretted; on the contrary, he would have realized that he had participated in the process of Salvation. However, committing suicide is a conclusion resulting from a psychologically diseased case; the thing which means that Judas was not psychologically normal. He was diseased and he was killed by that disease. I don't advocate the man, but I am contemplating the case. And though the Evangelists condemned the man, I don't think this was the view of Jesus Christ.

99% of the human race would have sold out God in the flesh [Jesus Christ] for a dollar ! It is very arrogant for a human to even, think that he or she would NOT of done the same thing as Judas had, given the same opportunity and circumstances. Factor in Satan working on you both, emotionally and psychologically, and you have GREED for gain - the biggest problem facing the Western World today.

Judas thought Christ was only a good teacher, and did not recognize Him as the Messiah.

Judas was lost. And lost people have no hope to guide them in their lives or their choices.

No. Honestly, I would've gotten Jesus the heck out of Jerusalem. He didn't deserve to die for Jehovah's good pleasure. And if he was hell bent on it, well, I can't imagine myself ever getting involved with some suicidal cult leader.
