You can use winrar to unzip zip file and loads of other formats. A few more programs you can use are 7zip or winzip but I still beleive winrar is the best choice. They work pretty much in the same way: you can compress or decompress files easily with a right-click.
The big advantages of Winrar are: it's free (it's available under a trial version that never expires) and can open all the formats: .zip, .rar, .7z / 7zip, .iso, .tar, .jar etc.
That's why I strongly recommend winrar.

You can download it from http://www.rarlab.com/. its not free but you can use it for 30 days after that the nag screen will always popup remaind you to buy the product, but you can use it as usual.
You can use
7-zip ( http://www.7-zip.org/ ) for windows or Linux. It can open .rar as well as other format
or unrar ( http://home.gna.org/unrar/ ) for linux
if you only want to open .rar files. Its free software.
7-zip even has better compression than winrar.

.rar is a compression format of a folder containing large files, all you have to do is extract all files and holla, you can access everything.
to extract, simply right click the file icon and select extract.
select the destination where you want to save the folder and click ok
you will notice that the .rar icon would be duplicated but in a folder icon. then, you can open the files inside it.

Use Winrar.It is like Winzip.
.rar means it is compressed form.So you have to uncompress it.

That is a file format for the REAL player. Or that windows equivalent That one is for streaming audio I think. You can't save it or anything... it's just something you can click on and it should take you to the site where the stream is.
Although... I could be wrong
