This girl I like knows I like her. We both are pretty smart and we chat a lot at school. But I'm too shy to ask her out. Could someone please help me with strategies to ask her out?

For the first date I would ask her to do something informal. Like get coffee or if she would like to study with you. When you are talking just bring up the fact that you have a test soon and ask her if she would like to study with you. I would bring her a single flower. If you had a good time then ask her to do something like dinner.
I think that the worst dates are movies because you do not really learn if you really like him or her. Also NEVER talk about yourself unless she asks you a question. Always think of 20 questions before you go on a date to ask her.
A hint if she makes up an excuse to not go on the date and does not invite you to do something at a different time then she is not interested. Girls make up a lot of excuses. If they really like you they will drop all their plans.

I totally can understand. I have the same problem. But what i learned the other day was really cool. You say you talk to her all the time right? Start a conversation like you always do with her, and just keep going at it with her. Smile while you talk and look her in the eyes. Key is look her in the eyes, like a staring contest and see if she locks on. The conversation should be somewhat long: 30-60minutes. After you are both comfortable, do the staring contest with her. Look into her eyes as she talks to you and "listen" to what she is saying. If she stares back, throw in something along the lines of, "We should hang out more often." or "your cool." whatever. Compliment her. Girls love that. Gl dude, and most importantly, be yourself, i know it sounds crazy, but be YOU.

First of all you need to sack up. Girls love confidence but not *********. The fact that she chats with you often shows that she is at least mildly interested in you. You should just go for it cause she already knows you like her anyway. Just approach her and tell her that you think she is really cool and you'd like to take her out.

Exchange your choices,feelings,view points abiut recent incidents thru chats..if she is intelligent she will realize herself that you feel and do care for her ...but as you have mentioned you two are pretty smart and chat a lot then i guess she already feels for you ...so don feel shy....each and every man and woman have to love others in their life...so be confident..you should get good result..good luck..

Just ask her! But ask her yourself. I got so pissed when this guy told his friends and it travelled to me, because it was so embarrassing! So you can guess, no go. But eventually we became friends again. Just say "Would you like to go out with me?" Or say it like it's an outing, and go with friends so you guys can get to know each other better.
