I would try using a spray bottle with water. Spray them (with more of a direct shot instead of fine mist) each time they start fighting. They will not like this. Any time they are being cordial with each other, try rewarding them with a kitty treat.
Good Luck!

Cats and dogs are very similar to people in terms of, some just flat out don't like each other. There really isn't much you can do about it but to let them work it out themselves. You didn't mention how long they have been together or how long this has been going on.
I have a similar situation with a much older female (fixed) cat and a 8 month old male (also fixed) kitten. My female was petrified of the kitten in the beginning and now can tolerate him until he starts the "running jump on top of her biting" that he does on occasion! :)
But be patient and eventually it will get better between them.

now that's a little insensitive of them two telling u to get a dog or kill one. really nice people. i would do the same as one of the comments said and use a squirt bottle and water. i mean they could be playing but if u say there are injury's i would not take that lightly. are they fix? if they were fixed they might be a little calmer. if the water bottle does not work i would consult someone that has a good background in cat behaviors, like a vet. just ask advice on what u should do there if nothing said here helps. good luck!!

We used to spray our cats with water and that they learnt their lesson. while bringing a clean cat in they're going to combat because of the fact they should be certain what the pecking order is. After some months they should calm down. If not, attempt getting some suggestion from you vets or bypass to a behaviour professional. they ought to be waiting that could be useful you in some way. inspite of the undeniable fact that, with Leo being a feral kitten potential he's used to being a lone cat so yet another you would be able to constantly be considered as an enemy. He could be a cat that must be in one cat domicile. good success and if the worst happens and he has to bypass to a clean domicile, submit to in techniques that a minimum of he would be happy there and your cat will settle lower back.

You cats aren't really fighting. To our eye it looks like fighting. To them it's a form of play. Cats play rough, they roll over each other, take bites, attack, but they are having fun. If they get hurt in the play then you just have to sort of move the furniture and give them enough room to have a good time. Remember, they are relatives of lions, we think of them as sweet little house cats, but they are felines and have that streak of meaness in them, it certainly comes out when 2 male cats play. They will be ok, don't get in between 2 cats at play, you will get hurt.

Get a really big dog with poor vision and a really bad bowel problem, that should divert your attention away from the cats.
