Ok here is the story, I really like my friend and by really I mean REALLY, and today I asked him who he likes just to see if the rumors that he likes me were true and (note- we really trust eacch other and tell eachother everything) and he said he cant tell me because it would be to hard at the moment (as we were passing notes in class) and I said you can tell me anything...plz? and so he said he was talking to his ex-foster-sister online and he asked her how he should tell me and she said I would understand and he should just tell me, I by this point in reading the note was getting my hopes up and the he said he was gay... I still love him (as a friend) but I still really like him as more than a friend... I dont know what to do... he knows that I used to like him but doesnt know I still do, but heres another thing he went out with one of my friends a few weeks ago for two weeks and she broke up with him, I was really jealous and now my group of friends isnt talking to her. help me plz

You certainly can't change him. What he told you was in confidence, so you can't reveal his business to anyone else. Just be his friend. What happened with this other girl, will eventually smooth over. If you would like to see that happen sooner, just tell your friends that maybe their relationship was just not meant to be. Tell them that you don't have any bad feeling towards her any longer.

Well, that was a surprise huh? Well, you still have a good friend though. Does he want anyone else to know? It's not right that everyone isn't talking to the one girl because she broke up with him. Even if he is gay, that was still rude of you people! You guys seem kind of shallow, don't you think???? Well, are you all going to not like him now because he's gay??? Just wondering!!

I think you should develop a relationship with someone else you admire. His lifestyle orientation is still being explored and is unsure which way to go. This uncertainty will drive you crazy. Keep him as a valued friend and nothing more.

well if he is gay then he is gay. if this is something that hejust realized or still confuse about there might be a chance. i would put your feeling out there but also let him know that you will be his friend no matter what he decides.
