Never heard of that....
Basically when you blow your nose, you're expelling mucus and bacteria, not inhaling it. I don't see how nose blowing would effect your ears/throat at all.
You may experience higher/decreased air pressure in your ears (Especially if you have a stuffy nose) but that doesn't lead to ear infections.
