that was unusual. well, as per my experience, cats don't stay long under the sun, unless you intend it. and even if cat was left under the sun the whole day, they have their own way of wetting their nose. It never gets dry unless your cat is sick. My dog's vet told me once that once your cat or dog's nose is dry, better cosult your vet immediately, it is a sign of sickness. your cat might caught cough. observe him. if you found out that he is coughing, give him cough syrup for children. or better take him to the vet just to be sure.

Check his teeth and gums. If you are feeding him wet food, chances are he could have an infection. My cat recently lost a tooth and I checked his gums. They were all inflamed. He had been quite lethargic for a while. He would sleep all the time and was very inactive. When I brought him to the vet, they prescribed him some antibiotics and in a day or two, he became much more active. Now he is as active as ever. Usually, a sick animal will have warm and dry nose. Give a day or two, and if he is the same, bring him to the vet. Let me know how he does. charissastreasurechest@yahoo.com

Has he been curled up all day? If so he could just be warm from slumber, being on a cozy couch, pillow, blanket, or even nestled under a blanket. He could've been laying in the sun all day, there are many reasons your cat's nose could be warm and dry. Not all of the times are a dry, warm nose a sign of sickness. Has your kitty eaten today? Drank? Is his appetite normal? Sometimes cats have "off" days. They're not sick, just... off. Lazy. Mellow Yellow. Humans have similar days.
Watch him for a day or two more. Chances are he'll perk up. Don't prod him too much, you don't want an irritable kitty on your hands, and if he IS sick, it'd make it that much worse to deal with.Offer him all the love, water, and food he wants. Keep a good eye on him, and if he's still like this in two days, take 'em to the vet. Good luck!

He could be feeling a bit off. Cats do have their "off days" just like us when they just want to curl up and sleep. A cat that is really really sick will hide. Make sure that he is well-hydrated, so give him some fresh water (that's important). If he won't drink on his own, give him water via a medicine dropper. Make sure he is eating too. Tempt him with some human-grade tuna in a can (the type that is water-based). If your cat is eating OK, he'll be fine. If he is no eating and still lethargic by tomorrow, take him to the vet.

I notice that once when my cat's nose was dry.Try feeding it grass or a catnip plant. After my cat chewed on greens for a few days his nose was moist and he was more active.Catnip makes cats real active!Dont buy the shredded processed kind, buy the actual plant.
