If you believe there is no God and this is all there is,
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by at least trying faith. It is known fact that Jesus Christ lived and was executed by the Romans. History proves this, just look it up. Don't go at it blindly. YOU DONT HAVE TO CHANGE WHO YOU ARE. God loves you as you are. He does not want you to live life unfulfilled. There is more, much more, and if you will just try faith--you will find it. Email me. Just try it, what have you got to lose???? Chance it just once ---and then at least you can say you did, How will you ever know til you try.
Dont you want there to be something more?
I tell you there is!!!!!!!!!But you will not know til you try
AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW FOR YOURSELF
I HAVE PEACE JOY AND LOVE I NEVER HAD BEFORE AND JUST WANT TO SHARE IT WITH YOU.

Pascal's wager:

"If god exists, it's infinitely better to believe, since you get heaven instead of hell for eternity. If he doesn't, it doesn't matter since you're dead anyway. So overall it's better to believe"

This is, of course, false.

Some of the problems with the argument:

* The implied assumption that god may exist (with a 50% probability, no less!)

* The assumption that there is an afterlife with a heaven and hell

* The assumption that the god cares about belief in him/her above all else

* The assumption that if you believe in a god, it will definitely be the same god that actually exists.

* The assumption that you lose nothing if it's false. You have lost a great deal, from time praying to a nonexistent entity (somebody mentioned just today praying several hours a day!!!) to morality (your god may ask you to hurt other people) and much more besides.

* The assumption that people can believe in something simply because it benefits them. Would you believe goblins exist for twenty bucks? Why not?

* The assumption that any god won't see through the "believing just to get into heaven" ploy.

Let me say that I really appreciate the genuine concern that you have for other people, that you so strongly desire for them to experience this great feeling of peace, joy, and love that you have found. I don't blame you a bit for wanting to share that.

But what I think you fail to understand, from my perspective, is that peace, joy, and love, are not limited to just your religion. These are things that all humans can have, regardless of their religious beliefs. Sure, yours works, but it's not the only one that works.

I agree that Jesus was a real human being who lived and was crucified by the Romans. But this does not prove his divinity, since many others also lived and were crucified by the Romans.

If having faith puts me in the good with God and Jesus, I will have a strong faith and pray that it never wavers in the tough times.

I'm a Christian, but if I weren't, I would NEVER answer a dumb plea such as the one you have posted here.
