I as well was very nervous on my first cruise about being seasick, as occasionally i do get motion sickness. I brought dramamine with me but never had to open the bottle. My mom read somewhere befroe we left that the pursers desk will supply you with seasick pills if needed for no charge (the only free thing on a cruise besides food lol). She went and got one every morning religiously and never had aprob either and she drank pretty heavily. I hardly noticed the movement of the ship unless i was in the bathroom something about the confined space i guess.

The ships being used these days have automated stabilizers which minimize the rocking. The larger ships cut through the water so easy that you don’t even feel like you are moving. When there is bad weather the cruise lines will steer around and away from it, sometimes changing the order of port stops. Also, the ships generally move overnight and dock in the mornings so you don’t feel much movement. Consequently, your chances of getting sea sick are minimal. There is generally less motion than on an airplane. If you do get sick, all ships have a doctor and they will dispense sea sick medicines. If you are prone to motion sickness, just get pills or a patch from your own doctor before you go, or go to a boating store and get a sea sickness bracelet. See link below.
I have been on many cruises, including the Mexico itinerary and never have gotten sea sick. Years ago when cruise ships were smaller there was more motion, but hardly any on the new mega ships.

I have been on several cruises and I do get sick every time. It usually starts when the ship starts its return back to its original port. Its because the ship travels at a faster speed (knots). Some travel tips I have learned, is to book a room closes to ocean level (the lowers floors), which is usually cheaper and make sure the room is located at the center of the ship (inside or ocean view is fine). Motion is felt less in these areas. If you were not able to, there are over the counter dramamine. I always bring them just in case. If you forget, don't worry, they usually sell it in the shops. I have seen and heard about the magnetic wrist bands for sea sickness, however I have not heard any positive reviews, I think it depends on the individual who wears them, it may work or not.
Well have fun on your trip, you'll be fine!

I took a cruise from Long Beach to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlaan and Puerto Vallerta. I was only seasick once, and that was when we hit turbulance. Take it from me -- The ship barely moves. You'll never know unless you're looking down at the water. They have large wings underneath the ship that levels it out.
However, I brought two traval-sized tubes of Dramamine (It's an over the counter motion sickness drug). Keep it with you at all times!!! Also, if it gets real bad, all cruise ships have an on-board physician. It'll be pricy, but they can help you out if you really need it.
Trust me -- You shouldn't be too bad. If you get carsick, you'll get seasick. If not, don't worry about it.

On my cruise, I used special bracelets that apply pressure to a certain point and kept me from getting sea sick. They worked very well because I get motion sickness very easily. you will be able to find these on the ship, but it will be harded to find them around at a store like Wal Mart. Have fun and stay healthy!

Dramamine works pretty well just take it and you wont feel a thing. It works great and it helps on airplanes too and chew bubble gum and thats why the cruise ship has stabilizers so you dont feel anything.

nope, there isnt.
firstly - cruise ships are so big it is unlikely you will even notice it moving much.
secondly, if you are worried go to your doctor and get some sea sickness tablets just in case.
