The most common cause of Petechiae is from an immune response to illness and infection. Some viral infections can cause Petechiae. While it is true that Petechiae can be seen with the STD HIV, it is a rare cause of Petechiae.Petechiae can be found with any virus or illness that weakens the immune system. Most likly you have the flu. consult physican if not gone in a week

No, that is not possible unless it was done in a nonsteril environment. Even then, it is remote. Cramping and abdominal pains are normal. Causes for concern are clots bigger than a quarter or soaking 1 or more thick pads within an hour. Some women experience nausea with vomiting. Resting in bed and drinking lots of water is prefered. These should subside with a few days. Just keep the appt as scheduled. And take it easy until then. Or if pains get worsen (they shouldn't) vist the Er. Good luck! ;)

Petechiae is small hemorrhages under the skin and the only possible STD that I could imagine that it could remotely be is HIV but I have never heard of it...Petechiae is not normal and should be seen by a DR who can do blood work and rule out many things that might cause it....

I was told that this could only be cause by a sudden lack of oxygen to the brain, as in suffocation. Causing stress in the blood vessels of the eye, causing them to burst due to pressure- as in strangulation...
