there's this guy i've been dating for almost a month now. i've noticed he's not very romantic and that's ok with me sometimes. and we don't really talk a lot either about personal things, but i really want to. but how can i do that without scaring him off?

You're just gonna have to bite the bullet, honey. If you're the kind of person (like me) that needs to know what the plan is, then you will never feel settled until you ask. Don't feel stupid if he acts like you are getting way too serious. Everybody has a right to be informed. Let him know it's okay if he's not ready to get married or something, that's not what you're asking, you just want to have a general game plan and there is always the chance that it will change. PS- People that are serious about relationships don't scare very easily.

a month really isn't a long time.
i say that you should wait 2 more months before talking about the future.
give him time to settle into the relationship and feel like he can start talking about his life with you.
if he didn't want to be with you he would have dumped you.
so if you're worried that he doesn't want to be with you, just realize he does since you two are still together.
guys are weird - you can't really expect them to bring up topics about personal issues, especially if he is under the age of 30...
so don't bring anything up because there is a GOOD chance you will scare him off and it's not beacuse of you, it's because you have only been dating for a month and already you want to talk about personal stuff.

Just ask him what his goals are. Maybe you can play a game with him like truth or dare. You are in the beginning of a relationship you have the right to ask these questions without thinking he will be scared off everybody ask questions in the beginning so they know wether or not they want to even continue seeing the person. If you ask and he runs be happy.

Just start talking to him about it. Since your only a month in i wouldnt say anything like "when we get married" that kinda stuff that common sense just tells you dont say. But just say stuff about where you see your life going and stuff and it may make him open up to... hope it works out for you!

well to get to the point where you talk about person stuff, you'll have to become friends first. so become friends with this guy! thats where all relationships start. anything thats truly worthwhile anyway
