I had sex at the very end of my period (about 2 weeks ago) when the condom broke. I will be having a tonsillectomy on Wednesday, and my family will be there with me. They will be testing to see if I am pregnant before the surgery, and I am afraid that if I am, they will tell the results in front of my grandparents.

If I take a home pregnancy test TOMORROW, will the results be accurate?

I am 17, so these laws that are supposed to so-called "protect" people do not protect me, because according to our country, I'm mentally incapable of healthy decision making. Thanks for everyone's help though!

It most likely would NOT show up on a PG test, and the only way it WOULD show at the Dr's office is if they do the blood test-- their UA tests are very similar to the home ones (generally speaking.)

A doctor should NOT share privelidged information in front of anyone other than the patient-- it violates confidentiality laws.

Most home pregnancy tests can test accurately a few days after your missed period.
The blood tests they take in the hospital are quite a bit more accurate at detecting the pregnancy hormone! They can detect it before EPT can!
Your medical records are private depending on how old you are...

The soonest you might be able to tell would be 3 days before you expect your period with a test such as a brand called ept (early pregnancy test).

I think it would be too soon to show up on a home pregnancy test, the earliest you can usually take them is a couple of days before your period is due.

no-

most likely you are not pregnant because MOST (not all though) ovulate 2 weeks before their period so when you had sex wasn't a fertile time.
