Majority of my reaction would be based on how close am I with this person.
Be it a friend, stranger, mere acquaintance or my crush. I would sincerely be flattered.
What's next would be whether am I keen to accept his declaration of love. If he is my crush of cos I would be over the world and accept heartily....
If I clearly know that I simply would not fall for this man, I would out rightly reject him tactfully.
If i see potential qualities or am attracted to him, I would suggest hanging out and see where things go.

I'd say "I love you too".

It's so nice when someone says that to you. There are so many kinds of "love".

Someone could love you for being a nice person, others could love you for just being honest & sincere, your relations can love you just for that reason and so on and so forth.

So don't be surprised that someone tells you that he or she loves you . . . it could be just plain and simple love. It would be even nicer that we reciprocate with the same love.

And should someone says he or she loves me for passionate reasons, I would be thrilled at the thought and would reply that I love that person for loving me, even though I may not love him/her for the same passionate reason, but just to appreciate that the other person loves me.

It is great to be loved !!!

If the person is a friend, my reaction is to say "I love you too." If it's someone I've just met, I'm uncomfortable.

I say wow thanks, your not so bad your self, it isn't always a mutual feeling for the other person, so I think you have to be damn sure when you say that.
