If the infection caused your ear to be stuffed up it means there is still stuff in your ear which is common. There are a couple of ways to speed the clearing of your ears. Hold your nose, close your lips and gently blow. It forces the stuff to move and helps air get into the eustachian tubes. Do NOT over do it or blow too hard. It's called autoinsufflation if you want to ask your doc about it.
If you had an infection that broke your eardrum that's why you can't hear. It takes a wile for the eardrum to heal but it will slowly get better. One way to check our hearing is to rub your finger together next to your ear so you can judge if it's coming back.

That is most likely because you are not completely over the ear infection. You probably don't need to go to the doctor, but it will depend on what you want. They will give ou anti-biotics if you go, but it is becoming more common jsut to wait out ear infections. Most pediatricians do this for children now instead of antibiotics.
I jsut got over an ear infection that did the same thing. Eat healthy and give it one more week I would suggest.

This may not be true for everyone, but every time I have an ear infection, or even the flu or just a bad cold, I lose part of my hearing, even with antibiotics. My trouble is, the hearing never comes back. I've been given several reasons for it--scar tissue buildup, eardrums not being built right, and eustachian tube dysfunction. Good luck with yours.

Oh I had the same thing. I had bad pain and then the pain went away but I couldn't hear. You must, I am not joking, go to the doctor immediately to get antibiotics. When the doctor saw me she said she was happy I came because my ear had a pretty bad infection.

Possibly you have a hole, or perforation in your eardrum, or fluid built up behind the eardrum. This definately effects hearing acuity. Go see a doctor or audiologist right away.
