All owls are protected by law and the fines for harassing, injuring, shooting... them are quite high. Right now it's owl breeding season for many species (depending on where you are) so they can be a little vocal, for now I'd recommend ear plugs until the season is over and everything will be quiet again.

Not much you can do to stop nature. I suggest you invest in some good ear plugs. Also, are you sure it is an owl, many people mistake a Mourning Dove's call for owl hooting.

Cut down all the trees in your neighborhood. That should stop that pesky 'nature stuff' drowning out your satellite TV!
Most owls are protected species nowadays. Enjoy them while they are still with us.....

If you can get a hold of one of those mirrors that don't break and attach it to the tree where he frequents he will think this is a mate and it will keep him occupied .
