It makes much more sense to me that they join together and defend their rights and try to make a change in THEIR own country since they love it so much.. Considering the fact that there are millions of illegals here in this country, and five thousand or more cross each day --- If that number of people would band together in their own country and go agains their corrupt goverment --- they'd be sure to make some sort of change.

And for those of you who can't come up with a valid reasoning.. don't play the race card 'cause I will intellectually check you.

YOU obviously live in an affluent country where the police are not all totally corrupt and dangerous. YOU are not a poor Indian who speaks Spanish as a second language and has NO weapons except farm tools.

Mexico is vast in area, and mostly lacking in adequate communications. Therefore its peoples are pretty much isolated from one another. They develop loyalties to their own community. In some cases, they speak a local language not Spanish.

Without some incentives to consider themselves part of a single nation, they mind their own business, occupied with day to day survival. They care for their neighbors in an admirable way which Americans have lost or maybe never had. They are not driven to compete with each other but instead maintain the attitude that "we are all in this together".

On the national level, they are smart enough to stay out of other people's foreign wars. Being huge in size and remote from the theatres of war which keep the US and Europeans busy, they are not attacked so are not unified by fear of the outside world.

As to rooting out corruption in their government, they have made a start on this by voting out the PRI regime after 70 years in power. But on most levels of government, they are still operating the way New York City operated when it was run by Tammany Hall - with patronage and nepotism rather than a civil service merit system.

I wonder if thats what the Iraqis feel about Americans being in their Country as well as the rest of the world where "our presence" is unwelcomed? And about being cowards. I claim to disagree especially since most site members do not have the balls to attach a profile photo! How cowardly can that be?

the Mexicans don't care about uniting and making a change, they just worry about living life the way they live, i guess they lack ambition and power like we do in America at least here in the U.S we have the opportunity to turn our life from nothing to something, you can't do that in Mexico is extremely difficult

Mexicans are cowards!! How can they fix their own country when they are too afraid to?

If I'm wrong, why hasn't it happened? Better yet, when will it happen?

And no, I do like Mexicans (just dont like the ones who are all for their illegal homies); my best friend and several girlfriends just happen to be so. So, don't give me any bull crap!

The US is dependent on Mexican labor,it is not the Mexican government that is the problem. The problem is not acknowledging them with a guest worker program, we need them.

Lazy - they don't have to work to get the benefits they receive here. They don't care that they are sponging off the taxpayer. They also don't pay any taxes here!
