I do work out during "that time of the month." I've never heard that it was bad--I've been doing it for a year with no ill effects. So I don't think you've got too much to worry about.:)

yes! it's not bad, the experts say it can relieve mentrual cramps..I never get them so I don't know for sure, but everything I read on menstration says that if your having bad cramps, excercise helps. Also, excercise can help relieve headaches. It has to do with the endorphines (natural painkillers) that are released during periods of exercise. And since hen is it bad to work out?

Yes, the more food I consume before and during my period the heavier it is. So, when I work out during my period it's not so heavy and I always feel better. However I make sure I don't do anything that's too strenuous. I have never had any problems.

It depends on the person. Some people can`t get motivated during their period, & some are too lethargic . I find it helps relieve cramps to excercise. I do both aerobics & swimming whils having my period, & it`s never done me any harm. Maybe you should try a littlwe gentle excercise & see how you feel.

I do, and it doesn't bother me. Honestly, I think it helps to keep moving. I've never heard that it was bad. I do recall that in gym clss they'd let you slack off on those days, but it was more because you might be uncomfortable than that you would actually do yourself harm.

Yes I work out during my period. Its not bad at all; in fact it can alleviate cramps. What is bad is doing inverted postures (upside down) in yoga (or anything else upside down). Its not "dangerous, " but its just not best for your body. Working out is fine though, and often recommended.

I think it's an old wives tale. Kinda like swimming in the ocean during your period attracts sharks.

it's not bad for everyone. there are some girls that if you do light work out it makes the pain least but for some it makes it worse.
