If you're a waitress and a guy that you like goes and dines where you work by himself and says he wants to take you out sometime, what would you say, cuz it seems like waitresses have their guard up so much all the time.

And why do some women turn guys down even when they're interested?

to clarify: I haven't done this. It's hypothetical.

first of all dont approach a girl for a date while she is working! that is a big no no. approach her after he shift - or before but never while she is working. i used to be a waitress and when you have so many table to either clean or feed you dont want a guy that you COULD be interested in to pop a question like that - depending on the workplace it is a very stressful time and you have alot of responsibility - so choose a better venue to ask he out.

When you're waitressing you're very busy because it's hectic work. You really have a lot to keep track of and you're constantly busy. You don't have a lot of time to flirt or think about the customers. I'm not saying it never happens, but there's the whole problem of if it doesn't work out and they come back in where you work it's uncomfortable and other things could happen. It's unfair because some guys won't tip you well after you say you're not interested in dating them and you know you've done a good job.

Honestly, the situation you described sounds creepy. I'd just walk into the restaurant ask her out. don't stay and eat alone. just seems weird. Secondly, Ive never turned a guy down if I was interested, 99% of girls i know dont do that. So maybe she wasnt really interested.

hmm. this ones a little confusing for me. maybe she is to caught up in her work. it wouldnt stop me from answering you. i would let you. maybe sometimes they get scared so they turn you down. maybe the question shocks them because they arent expecting it so they turn you down. theres been a couple times ive been asked out on a date and i got nervous and declined. afterwards i wished i didnt but there wasnt anything i could do about it then. take some of their advice and maybe try when shes off of work.
