Anyone can choose to follow any religion. If you truly believe in the Christian teachings then you really already are a Christian. Different churches may have different initiation rites, or, even, none at all. Research the different sects (Episcopalian. Methodist, Catholic, Greek Orthodox, etc...) to see which most closely reflects your own faith. When you find one that fits talk to an official at the local Church representing that faith. They are always happy to welcome newcomers, even those who are unsure.
Personally, I think it's better to find your own faith than to be born into it. You have the opportunity to search and question and come to your own conclusions rather than believing just because it was how you were raised. Even if it is the same faith you were born into.
I'm as agnostic as it gets in that I believe in my own ignorance and can no more accept my ability to aknowledge a dod than I can any evidence that there is no god. What I do believe is that it is most important to follow your own heart and mind in matters of faith. If you feel you are Christian then no one can ever tell you otherwise. You know your heart and mind.

Being a christian means that you beleive in jesus and that he came here and died on the cross for our sins. You aren't born into it you believe in it that's what makes you a christian except him as your savior ask for forgiveness for your sins, then find a good church that can guide you with bible study classes or even get them off of the internet. Just the fact that your wandering about it is a good thing. So no matter what race or religion you are just remember we are all children of God.

No one is born with a religion. They may be born to parents with a certain religion, but what the individual person believes is a matter of their own heart and mind.
Christianity (since it's not a tightly organized group) accepts everyone, no matter what their religious background may be. True Christ-led Christianity does anyway. In my (Southern Baptist) church, we have former catholics, former atheists, and even a convicted murder in the bunch (shot his wife in a passionate rage after he came home to find her in bed with another man.)
To become a Christian, all you have to do is accept the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made when He died so that you wouldn't have to be punished for your sins. Hey, we're all sinners.....every single one of us has done something wrong at some point. And accepting that He died to take our punishment, thanking Him for that, and telling Him through prayer that you accept His gift, that's all it takes. Then you just read the Bible, pray often, and try to find a local church you can fit in with that teaches the Bible and nothing but the Bible. That's all there is to it. Most churches won't even ask questions about who you were before God came into your life!

A true Christian is one who knows and loves God and who knows and loves his Son, Jesus Christ and earnestly tries to live up to the example which he (Jesus) set for us while here on earth. No one can be born with that--everyone must decide for himself/herself that this is the path they will choose to walk. A true Christian is non-violent, loves all humans but especially others who also know and love God and Jesus, is no part of the wicked world that is passing away. May God bless all your efforts if this is the path you choose.

Princess: To become a Christian, is a "calling" by God, the Father, through Jesus Christ; see: (John, 6th chapter, verse 44 & First Peter 2nd Chapter, verse 9) . Christians are called to have a relationship with his or her Creator, through Jesus Christ.

You can become Christian. Christianity is a state of mind and beliefs (not so much a group as everyone would make you think). Christians believe Jesus was the Son of God. That's really the only classification. It's exremely broad.

Becoming a Christian is starting a relationship with Jesus Christ - becoming his follower and trying to learn from him for the rest of your life. Read the Gospels in the New Testament of the Bible to learn more about who Jesus is and what he taught.

Dear Little Princess,
To become a Christian means to be a follower of Christ. So people are not born as followers of Christ- in fact people are born following themselves. People can only know Christ as He reveals Himself to them- and this is through the Bible. Feel free to email me if you'd liek to know more about having a personal relationship with Christ.
I'd like to know a little more about your religious experiences and your thoughts about God, sin, etc. I can tell you that nothing is more important than knowing God and knowing His purpose for your life- and so i'm glad you have a curiosity in your heart- and i encourage you to find out about who God is.
Hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

Anyone can convert to Christianity. There are many different sects to choose from, but nearly all of them accept converts. There are many Christians who were originally born into non-Christian families.
