Yes, it does. The juice of half a lemon and a teaspoon of honey in a glass of warm water taken first thing in the morning on a empty stomach helps in losing weight. The lemon and honey combination helps in mobilising stored fat and puts it in circulation, thereby helping the body use it up for energy. It also gives the sensation of feeling satiated. The warm water helps in moving your bowels.
Lemon juice over a long period of time tends to erode your teeth enamel. I would advice you to use a straw while drinking anything with lemon in it to make sure your teeth have minimal contact with the lemon. Also rinse your mouth well thereafter.

There is evidence that small infusions of calories at staggered intervals throughout the day helps boost your metabolism. (i.e. instead of one large lunch, you eat three small snacks a few hours apart) So in that respect, honey and lime in water could help boost your metabolism and help you lose weight.
But in general, no, there is nothing special about this particular drink that would make you lose weight. You could probably get the same effects from sugar water.

Don't know about honey & lime but try drinking 1 cup of hot (as hot as you can stand it) water every hour, with a slice of lemon in it if you like. You will be amazed at how well this works.

The only way to effectively lose weight is to reduce your caloric intake and increase your activity level.
The only benefit you might get from something like this is drinking it in place of a higher calorie beverage like a milkshake .
There are no miracle drugs or beverages that will do the work for you.
It is up to you.
good luck and good health.

Frankly speaking "NO" one doesn't loose weight by this. On the contrary, one feels more hungry doing so. I had tried this and failed miserably. To lose weight, one has to go for walks regualarly for 45 minutes and stop eating fried stuffs, sugar and aerated drinks.
