Wow! That's amoung the stupidest things anyone has ever said.
A similar quote "Light cannot exist without darkness. If there is no darkness, then there is no light".
Darkness is the abcense of light, not a quantity in itself. Light exists reguardless of darkness.
Good existed before evil did. Good is perfectly capable of existing without evil. If you think it will be boring, you're dead wrong. Think absolute joy 100% of the time, and a quality of joy that you are yet to experience.
That doesn't get boring.

You must be young because anyone who has lived very long has hundreds of things they would love to do if they just had the time, energy or health to be able to do them. Wickedness or evil as you call it gets in the way of doing the things we wish just like a flat tire when you have no spare can ruin a trip. I am not one of the people who has been chosen to live in heaven but they will be ruling over the earth and judging each one of us during the thousand years so they will be plenty busy. As for those of us who will live on a perfect earth, there is so much to learn and explore, we will never be bored. Wait a few years. You will see what I mean.

Evil is the absence of good, not the opposite of it.
Just like Heat is not the opposite of cold...cold is the absence of heat.
30 degrees celsius is hot...but colder than boiling...
minus 4 degrees celsius is really warm compared to minus 40.
We typically measure good and evil the same way we measure temperature...by choosing an arbitrary level(usually our own moral bias) and considering everything as it is relative to that point.
