I personaly volenteer in Pagan Pride Day and Witches Ball and a also host a few munches. I have found there are many traditions within "paganism" and while there are many diffrences we are all alternative and it shows the general community that we are deffinantly a community. the thing is if you added all the closet pagans and all those who are public we realy wouldnt be a minority. The alternative communities (Pagan, Holistic,or any other alternative community)are actualy a majority when you realy think about it. I just find that it is a blessing helping the community and was wondering who all else does. I love how many wonderful response that I am seeing

oh and in reply to the comments of being of diffrent community
also it doesnt matter how diffrent you are from your community for the sake of getting more equality and removing things like the religion in the schools and goverment buildings ie courts and etc etc we need to acknowlege our diffrences and work with each other unstead of a war of who is more right...we as a community should by now understand what that does to us as that we go through it with someone shoves their faith down our throats....

I do quite a few things. I host Pagan potlucks, organize coffee socials, plan major festivals, etc. We help others in the Pagan community move, provide housing, I visit Pagans in the hospital, etc.

For the community at large, we do food drives, host benefit dinners, and we have done Adopt-A-Park and such in groups that I was involved in in my old hometown.

Sweet: Community involvement is an important aspect of ones society - converted or not. I have worked or served with many "pagans", as a Christian, and find him or her very capable in whatever, capacity he or she serves in. I have learned quite a few things from those "pagans" too and have developed close friendships. Lest I forget, I was once, a "pagan" too and God still loved me in spite of what I was NOT !!!

first let me say I love the way you embraced pagan as compliment. it shows inelegance to turn an insult in to a good thing. second I'm starting a woman's self defense class(trying any ways the financial side is a huge problem) What is it you do for your community, yes I'll show you mine if you show me yours lol

If you mean my "neighborhood," I clean it up.

If you mean local pagans; then I do nothing. Why? Because we A.] Don't get along [I'm more along the lines of a "Dark Pagan"] and B.] there are very few of us.

I spend a lot of time cleaning up trash on our river - most of it left there by the local baptists.
